What a joke for racing sites to be selling ratings ! it's a scam.
Just looking at Sky Rating, cop this,
All 19 meetings for $55.00
Thoroughbreds for $25.00
Harness for $20.00
Greyhounds for $25.00

By buying these ratings, you will get a selection of 3 or 4 and then still have to make a choice, and if your wrong, you loose!

Ratings of any sort should be free ! period.

Just check out racenet past ratings, the ratings I post for free and are on a par if not better, want $8.80 for ratings, $7.70 for top 3, $6.60 for best best.
Get Real, these racing site treat you like mug punters.

If anyone loves the industry of racing like I do !, it makes me angry to think they generate ratings and take the so called MUG punter for granted.

Any punter, here we go, look at my past ratings posts, and feel free to check out any other ratings you desire, and you will find, between my ratings and SO CALLED professional racing site ratings, that any punter can rate a meeting or a horse and not pay a cent !
DON'T BE A MUG and pay for ratings. >:(

Spot on with the critique, Stormy.  They give 3 or 4 horses, don't give any betting strategy and then claim they had the quadrellad, trifecta, quinella, ad infinitum, AFTER the event.

I do use yours, yes, the free ones, and find that I have been moderately successful so far.  Moderately only because I don't always have the time to punt and, in any case, often don't have the money to punt.  :(

However, if there's a horse I fancy, I will always check your ratings before going ahead and betting.  Have been disappointed to find, sometimes, a horse that I really fancy doesn't even get a mention in your top 4 or 5.  AFTER the event, I realise why.  :embarrassed:  But, by checking yours I have saved the money that I would have blown.

Thanks, Stormy, for all the meetings that you give us.  I really appreciate the time and effort you put into it.  8-)

Good thread stormy and one I'm sure will attract plenty of interest.  Got ths email today from Racenet:  Free racenet ratings race for Valley tonight
Melbourne’s autumn carnival lifts another gear at Moonee Valley tomorrow night (it's summer for another month) – and racenet ratings may be able to help, especially if you need a winner late.

They gave out Race 8 so will do the same also

Race 8 - C2 .3 . . - 1600M - 10:15  Trainer Jockey Rating Rated Price
3 1-8322 EL PODEROSO (5) 57.5  DANNY O'BRIEN S Arnold 52.3 2.60
6 314 PURPLE HAZE (7) 56.5  DAVID HAYES C Williams 51.7 2.90
8 349-16 BIG DADDY COOL (11) 56  LEE FREEDMAN C Brown 50.4 4.60
10 5-6541 HIDDEN WONDER (8) 56  DAVID HAYES J Winks 48.0 13.20
1 356118 BUCA DI BACCO (9) 58  LEON CORSTENS S King 47.0 24.00

I'll go: 7 from 4-6-10-3

and
stormy is 10 - 3 - 6 - 4 -8

Now if you have a look at what Racenet sold or Issued,
3, @ $2.60
6, @ $2.90
8, @ $4.60
10, @ 13.20
1 @ $24.00

Now look at what I rated 10,3,6,4,8 only difference is the 4, sold or issued still missed! What do they take us for IDIOTS.
NOT ME.
Its not rocket science.

Just surfing the net at different racing sites to what they offer or who they are trying to ripoff, and came across this !

I cannot believe this... it blows me away to think that these racing sites take the punter for granted. WHY would you pay this !...

Saturday Punting

Price   1 meet $49.95
Price   2 meets $79.95
Price   3 meets plus insider selection $99.95

Everyday Punting

Price   1 meet $199.95
Price   2 meets $249.95
Price   3 meets $289.95 plus insider selections

The insider selections gives you a graphical report.
This site also states ( Selections is a detailed graphical output of the popular selections ) does not pick the winner, just gives you what they think, plus they state at least 20 selections. For those prices I would expect a little more.... !

WHAT A F...ing JOKE how stupid do these race companies think punters are !

 lol >:( lol

The sad part is, Stormy, that they actually have people who pay for their tips.

We're a lot of desperados needing a big win to buy something and think we'll strike it rich.  lol

For myself, if I could afford their fees, there would be no money left to invest on the tips.  ;(

Any punter needing a big win, should of followed the Sunshine Coast today 10/02/2008. If they did, they would of landed Race 2 top rated 11.PERTINENCE
this little fella got up to win and paid a very handsome
        1st    11. PERTINENCE    $23.40    $5.10    QUIN    9-11    $57.90
    2nd    9.   STALWART HONEY       $2.20    TRIF    11-9-7    $457.20
    3rd    7.   KNUCKLES NZ       $1.30    EXACTA    11-9    $161.80
     R/D    14-11    $55.00

And not only that, got the trifecta as well.
Cannot get any better than that !

It's All Good. 8-) 8-)

Stormy, RadioTAB is flogging some goose who calls himself Triple Seven Fred and Triple Seven Bert at the moment. Results have been, ah hem, absolutely fabulous - well, that's the claim.

Every time I hear it it puts me in mind of another called 777 on a different forum  who takes 8 horse trifectas in a field of 10 for about 2%  of the dividend.  :tard.gif:

Well, they are off again tomorrow and I have to put all my bets on at the beginning of the races as I'm busy after 12 and won't get a chance.  Would hate to miss the chance of throwing some more on 9 races at Colac.  May even have a look at Tassie tonight as I've had a bit of luck there lately.

Off day today.  Missed the Camperdown (not Colac) scratchings at 8 am so put all my bets on at 8.30 and went out for the day.  Home at about 5.30 pm and checked TABonline.

For an outlay of $63 I collect $32.  ;(

Ah well, it's only money.

And they race again tomorrow.
