Next at Mornington .... R6 Winemakers Peninsula Cup is a good race. Chasm Steps up tp the 1500m and races like he wants it although only having won up to 1400m. Will be short and hard to beat. Another promising horse who has won his past few in ompressive fashion is Midnight Mustang. He at least has form up to 1600m. Our Raphael likes the track and distance and will be just about cherry ripe for this. Stratus Faction looks a nice chance coming back in distance and with a month off. It has been a warm day however .. so being a mare might work against her. I'd also give Pit Lane and Escape Artist chances.

# 5 Chasm, # 11 Midnight Mustang, # 4 Our Raphael

Nice win by the promising Chasm ...

The next R7 sees the return of Ab Almalik for his new trainer Tony Noonan. He's got good 1st up form and there is no reason why that can't continue on here ...

Westie if you check this out you will see that I had Rex's horse ,Stiletto Heels, but didn't have the H 13.

That paid better than I thought it would.

Never in doubt Westie ....

Let's finish off with a good e/w chance in the last.

# 8 Credington - travelled from Warrnambool to Mornington to compete in this showcase as he did last time when he ran a very nice 3rd. A significant change in rider, from Pegus to Mertens, has swayed me towards it..... e/w all day.

My only bet at Mornington today was on Cover Charge that paid $3.20 on Unitab .  That was a lot better than I thought it would be.

BTW Pegus rode that.
