I agree. Should have been dismissed.

On to this year, I see no reason to jump of Thoephorus unless he draws the carpark.

Alverta has been kind to me in the past so i'm tempted to stick with her, forget her last run in the canberra cup.

In saying that i think Theophorus will win though haha

I'll hope the weight gets to Snipers (doesn't strike me as a big weight carrying horse for some reason) and go for Something Anything - despite the jockey engagement! :P

Not so sure it's a huge drop in class for Snipers, deffinitly a drop none the less, and honestly i'd like to see him come out and win this, I a big rap for Gilded Venom so if Snipers was to do that then it'd just be even more proof of how good Gilded could be.

Synonym is one that a mate of mine is backing hard, i don't see it myself but you never know, and the bookies are keeping him safe at $10.

It's a very evenly handicapped field and I've got Something Anytime favourite around $7.00. There's $11 currently available so I'll be backing him.

The other one I will be backing is Spinney as long as it's not too wet. I have him around $11 based on this last run with $12 being currently offered. I do however think he has the most potential upside in the race and if he returned a performance anywhere near his best he'd brain these.

I'll be backing both those straight out and coupling them with Theophorous in a box quinella.

I have Synonym second pick - only around a half length behind SA and both should be around the $10 mark.
