Are there any ideas, rumours yet, as to whom she will submit?
Do I need to buy a New Idea?

The only rumour I have heard is that they might not have her served this season.

I hope this is incorrect. Unless they might be rethinking retirement.

I'd be very surprised if they were rethinking retirement,  I remember Debbie Kepetis saying that they may not breed from her, just retire her to a paddock but I don't know if that was a serious option.

Maybe they are just going to give her another season to wind down from racing and get the hormone treatments out of her system.

Not breeding from her?
You gotta be kidding.
How brave is that...?
The owners do not need the money.
She is not a breeding machine.
There would be no physiological hormonal physical reason why she could not be served this September.
I still think she should send Snitzel a love letter and make a date.

Winx’s partner has been announced

Champion Winx is to be mated with I Am Invincible in her first season at stud later this year.

Winx’s owners, Peter and Patty Tighe, Richard Treweeke and Debbie Kepitis, announced on Monday they had chosen the Yarraman Park stallion as her first mating.

They issued a statement via the mare’s trainer Chris Waller saying they had fielded interest from home and abroad but decided she would remain in Australia.

“As owners, we have utilised and considered the expert advice of bloodstock professionals both domestically and internationally,” they said.

“We have sought the opinions of various pedigree consultants, bloodstock agents and stud managers.

“They provided us with the foundation of information to assess and use to compile the short list of stallions for consideration.

“This process highlighted the extreme depth to the stallion ranks in Australia and across the world, however when considering the options of travelling overseas her welfare remained of the highest priority and we decided she would remain in Australia for her first breeding season.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who made expressions of interest. The level of attention was overwhelming and something we are very grateful for.”

I Am Invincible is second on the general sires list to Snitzel.

His daughter, Invincibella, won the final Group One race of the Australian season on Saturday, the Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm.

Winx was a winner of 33 consecutive races including 25 Group 1s including three consecutive Cox Plates.

Giddy Up
