Are there any ideas, rumours yet, as to whom she will submit?
Do I need to buy a New Idea?

The only rumour I have heard is that they might not have her served this season.

I hope this is incorrect. Unless they might be rethinking retirement.

I'd be very surprised if they were rethinking retirement,  I remember Debbie Kepetis saying that they may not breed from her, just retire her to a paddock but I don't know if that was a serious option.

Maybe they are just going to give her another season to wind down from racing and get the hormone treatments out of her system.

Wow.
Not breeding from her?
You gotta be kidding.
How brave is that...?
The owners do not need the money.
She is not a breeding machine.
There would be no physiological hormonal physical reason why she could not be served this September.
Wow.
I still think she should send Snitzel a love letter and make a date.

Winx’s partner has been announced
Posted by: Morgan Payne+ at 12:49pm on 24/6/2019

Champion Winx is to be mated with I Am Invincible in her first season at stud later this year.

Winx’s owners, Peter and Patty Tighe, Richard Treweeke and Debbie Kepitis, announced on Monday they had chosen the Yarraman Park stallion as her first mating.

They issued a statement via the mare’s trainer Chris Waller saying they had fielded interest from home and abroad but decided she would remain in Australia.

“As owners, we have utilised and considered the expert advice of bloodstock professionals both domestically and internationally,” they said.

“We have sought the opinions of various pedigree consultants, bloodstock agents and stud managers.

“They provided us with the foundation of information to assess and use to compile the short list of stallions for consideration.

“This process highlighted the extreme depth to the stallion ranks in Australia and across the world, however when considering the options of travelling overseas her welfare remained of the highest priority and we decided she would remain in Australia for her first breeding season.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who made expressions of interest. The level of attention was overwhelming and something we are very grateful for.”

I Am Invincible is second on the general sires list to Snitzel.

His daughter, Invincibella, won the final Group One race of the Australian season on Saturday, the Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm.

Winx was a winner of 33 consecutive races including 25 Group 1s including three consecutive Cox Plates.

Giddy Up

She is going to visit I Am Invincible this year.
I knew they would do that....bugger.
Wrong choice...in my opinion any way.
He is certainly the second pick and they went that way...

That's right, a nice little place outta the way, Lucerne, spring water, good conversation, a little teasing...
Then comes the love..
"I didn't feel a thing she says"
"It's a first time thing, love"...I say ...sheepishly...damn, shoulda bought those pills off the redtube site I think.
Afterwards , in the afterglow, I break out the real high quality grass...
"Love you"...she neighs...
"love you too my little winker..."

Hmmm,

Pretty sure the reality is a little different.

Mare basically raped while chained down so the stallion does not get hurt, accidentally or deliberately,  is more likely.

Shogun,

Mares legs are restrained so that they cannot get away or lash out and hurt the stallion.

The stallion is worth much much more.

You better hope they don't make a mistake and chain you down Shogie.  The incoming is going to be very painful.

Champion racehorse Winx to be a mum

Champion racehorse Winx is in foal.

That will be the message to the racing world from her relieved connections next Monday morning via the mighty mare’s official website and social media accounts.

It is anticipated by then she will have carried one of the most valuable foetuses for 45-days, a benchmark in thoroughbred breeding, by the weekend.

The Australian understands Winx was not impregnated at her initial foray into the breeding barn. Indeed, it took three attempts.

The modern-day wonder, who won 33 races – 25 of them Group I events including an unprecedented four Cox Plates — will have a gestation period of approximately 11 months and deliver her offspring in mid-to-late October 2020.

Such is the virility of the stallion she was paired with, I Am Invincible, that Winx will have returned a positive sample well before the 45-day benchmark.

Winx is by Street Cry out of Vegas Showgirl, who also was covered I Am Invincible during the spring.

Vegas Showgirl’s offspring to I Am Invincible will be a half-sister to Winx and will be a sibling-in-blood to the expectant foal of Winx.

Vegas Showgirl recently gave birth to a magnificent filly by Deep Impact, regarded the best foal on the farm. She and her mother are owned by respected owner-breeder John Camillieri.

Deep Impact, ranked among the elite of Japanese thoroughbreds both on the racetrack and at stud, had a rendezvous with Vegas Showgirl in Japan in his final season before his untimely death in July at the age of 17.

The level of anticipation surrounding the Deep Impact-Vegas Showgirl youngster is extraordinary. Those that have seen her speak of great temperament, confirmation and head – the best qualities of sire and dam.

Then there is the two-year-old by Exceed And Excel that will be raced by Camillieri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds.

Named Covent Garden, the filly is being prepared by Chris Waller. She is expected to benefit with time and will be kept until late in the season to debut.

So the Australian leading racing journalist doesn't know how many races Winx won and the editor (if they still have one) can't fact check it either.
