GOOD THING OF THE DAY

Thought I might start a thread, where hypothetically speaking,

If you had $1000 to have on one horse ..... who would it be ?

might even keep a running total just for fun and see who is the Greatest Punter

Yes mate, when I seen Scriven on top, that sealed it for me 8-)

Must admit I had a heart flutter for a second or two before Nellie Got There moved out to give Alverta a run.

I was robbed !!! Aztec Sun was bumped & impeded at least 3 times by Tassie Gold & the protest was dismissed. The Stewards must have had someone from the blind school on work experience helping them out today.  >:(

Unfortunately Zipping is a very ordinary animal, in fact he’s been proven in life thus far to be a “bookmaker’s benefit”. Sure he’s “nearly won” a few more races, just like I “nearly won” the $80,000 Golden Casket being only six numbers off and my wife “nearly winning” Lotto once when she and a son of her friend’s got five of the six required numbers. “Nearly winning’ isn’t and hence Zipping is a classic chaff bandit in my opinion.

I would love to own a chaff bandit like Zipping  :D

I am another mate of gratlog. He reckons if someone keeps track of this for 12 months he will buy a trophy for the winner.

I remember him buying some trophies for some other comp awhile back for one of these forums. Whinging bastard said he won't put money up but is happy to do this. :D

Don't let him bullshit to you about being broke, he still has his lunch money from primary school.

Mine for this is Hey Elvis in brissy today.

Gold Coast...Swinging To Win Race 7

Helped me to a good win for the day, not sure why the jock didn't let the other horse cross him and take a sit or sit on the outside.

Really thought they where going to hard in front .....  but he had to much class on them anyway.

Good Stuff Omni  8-)

Yeah will not put the words i used at the 1000m on here but alicia was beside me and yep thought should have eased and let the other horse cross. I do think the horse wants a stronger rider and winkers, switched on and off during the race. Nice win and ok horse. My question is ...Prisons....why did L Dittman take him on in front when his horse had no show. The owner of the winner never had a cent on him so where did the  money come from.I am not against Paget but the way those around him rode...im unsure of some of them. Dittman was not told to lead at all cost...why did he try to??. Not saying we would have won but....watch the replay.

I know where it came from mate,

The ratings guys had I Luva A Queenslander 5 lengths clear, was a very strong race ......  go back through it's form

  New Page
06-09-2008 4/9 3.1  DOUBLE OR NOTHIN Eagle Farm 1800m 1MW J Byrne 8 53 H 1-52.92 38.22 $3.50
23-08-2008 6/11 2.1  MY LIMIT Doomben 1615m 4UP CL6 S Galloway 11 55.5 D 1-37.55 36.45 $13
13-08-2008 6/10 3.0  CHARMING ROGUE Eagle Farm 1400m E&G CL6 J Byrne 14 53 G 1-23.35 37.03 $16

Was beaten 3 lengths behind Charming Rogue, they had it the best of the day along with Swinging to Win

I backed the last but not it, I will try and get their mail earlier next time and post them in the restricted area as they are pretty protective of their work  ;)

Don't be disappointed with Prisons run, it was a very good run in a very strong Gold Coast race, and will win another very shortly with the way he is racing.

Full Kudos to Miss Willick
