Currently on Betfair for 2009

Federer 3 Slams - $34 (worth a token bet imo)
Federer 2 Slams - $6.40 (not bad)
Federer 1 Slams - $2.32 (iffy)
Federer 0 Slams - $2.14 (unders)

Nadal 4 Slams - $9.20 (big unders)
Nadal 3 Slams - $3.15 (unders)
Nadal 2 Slams - $2.36 (about right)
Nadal 1 Slams - $6.00 (has to be a slight chance)

I noticed an article in the paper yesterday OL where Sullivan from SportingBet was spruiking a fantastic offer of $7 for Nadal to win all 4 grand slams this year... he probably said it with a straight face too

If Nadal is 6/4 favourite to win each of the remaining slams ( even that is unders ) all up that should be 14.625 / 1. Realistically he should be about  6/4 in the  French, 3/1 at  Wimbledon & 3/1 in the US, that equates to 39/1.

A better strategy, for those who cannot help themselves, would be to back Nadal, only if he gets to the quarter finals, all up in the quarter final at 1/3, in the semi final at 1/2 & in the final at 1/2 at each of the grand slams and get 2/1 each slam.

If a punter adopts that approach at each grand slam and plays up his winnings into the next slam he will still finish up with 26/1.

I'll be surprised if you can get even money about Nadal in the French, and I doubt you'll get 3/1 in the other two either (more like 2/1)... but even that, 2x3x3 = 18.00

Edit: Of course, that doesn't take into consideration that he may pick up an injury and not even play in one of these tournaments...

Agree, he might get injured, best approach in my mind ,if you fancy his chances, is to just back him in each slam "all up" from quarter final through to each final, but not "all up" into next slam.

Federer just got rolled at Monte Carlo by Swiss No2 Stanislas Wawrinka, while Murray came from 5-0 down in the 1st set
