As one of our great Prime Ministers once said about another boaster of little substance "He's all tip and no iceberg"!

Five very good players now lost to Bernie,I was at the PA Hospital all day and arrived home at 5.40pm so didn't see any play but the news said both Bernie and Lleyton won through, nice to see the fans coming back to Bernie now he is winning.

Well, winning is everything.  It's certainly not how you play the game.

I might put you on ignore.  You're a waste of space.

I'm with you and have Firezuki on ignore as he is a wasted space.

Why was this not also removed?  I used exactly the same words as she used to me.
Interesting.

Poor Bernie can't win a stupid girl on CH 9 this morning was down on him for taking his shirt off on court, seeing he was being asked by the crowd to take it off if he hadn't he would have been called arrogant,he knows his body is lean not muscles so I thought he was being a good sport getting in the moment and except for ch9 it seemed to be enjoyed, perhaps the presenters at nine are jealous that they aren't covering the tennis which gets bigger each year.

Looks like the feckless brat has shot himself in the foot again.
Now that he has been invited back into the Davis Cup team, the turkey has told Rafter he won't be making himself available for the April round of Davis Cup. He does not want to hear from Rafter until September!
He thinks this is payback for cutting him from the first round squad.

What are the odds that this petulant drop kick will ever grow a brain?
I'd say cut your losses now and write this offensive little dill off.

Fortunately earlier Tennis Australia put Tomic on zero funding until he again represents Australia.

But why on earth should any more funding be wasted on him ever?

Autho, I have no idea and I am wondering what possible relevance the question has to this thread?

Yes, Bermuda is a popular tax haven for sportsman. Given the amount of money rafter made I was surprised he did it

Despite that I still think he's entitled to give Tomic a serve in his Davis Cup Captains role

Tonight match will be worth a watch to see how his game is travelling.
Tomic (64) up against Jarko Nieminen (44).
Tomic is fav to win the Syd Tourney & interesting to see how he handles Nieminen.

I'd imagine it had something to do with the top tax rate.

Nieminen pre-vails in the 1st set after letting a break slip.
Now we'll see if Tomic can step up & win from behind.

Tomic won the 2nd & gets a break in the 3rd. Just has to keep holding now.

Well he won the 3rd set in a canter, never looked like panicing. That will give him some confidence going forward. Nieminen really fell apart in the 3rd.

I'm so glad to see Bernie pull himself together and play a better game in the 2nd and3rd I didn't watch most of the first but was very worried at how he was playing when I switched over, but he is still got some not giving credit where it's due.

Winning and being a pratt aren't mutually exclusive.

To date he's been a pratt and a loser.

He's giving some indication he might be getting it together enough to be a pratt and a winner.

I'd say there's still some ways to go before he claim the non-pratt winner mantle.

Can Tomic (64) win his 1st career Title?
Has Seppi (23) in the Semis. He definitely has a chance at getting a trophy.

Well done again Bernie,I was worried when he called for the trainer because of blurred vision,I think he is looking tired so I hope he is eating and sleeping well as he's frame is pretty lean for a tall lad, sure he had a late night last night but I hope he can recover for tomorrow's final it won't be easy, good to see Maggie back in his corner today.  emthup
