Intriguing Fours.

Any clues without naming names for obvious reasons.

Hmmm

Pre google days so that wont help you but common sense suggests that team morale would be an issue if picked.

For all his flaws and review wastage we could do with Wato in the team now  :shy:

He's too busy doing to Wily what I've been doing to him on this forum for years.  Metaphorically.

Top win last night. Great to see some new blood in the bowling ranks doing well.
Iím still stunned by the selectors decision to dump Handscomb from the tests. He looks the goods to me. Batted well last night

It appears Sean Marsh is doing it to Wily too.

A Watson/Marsh sandwich if you please.

Marsh batting superbly of course.   :no1:

Surprised none of you Eastern Staters haven't come on here and congratulated him.   lol

Just got in. Forgot all about the odi. As predicted Shaunie has gone back to the slap and tIckes game and performed. His stats back that up.

Heís just no good at the real game of test cricket  :bulb:

Mind you, I just got told he was dropped twice this innings so on FZs criteria the score doesnít count

wonderful interview with Shaunie in the newspaper

ďObviously itís disappointing but at the end of the day I just didnít score enough runs. Youíre there to score runs, and I didnít. I tried to put it to the back of my mind and move on, and just really focus on white ball stuff coming up. Itís been going well.Ē

ďObviously my Test stuff over the last 12 months has been really disappointing,

He couldnít put his finger on why he was performing so well in one format of cricket while struggling in another.
Itís a good question, isnít it. Iím not too sure,Ē Marsh said.

Well Shaunie, I can help you there.
 :bulb:
1. one day pitches are flat and suit bully stroke makers
2. There are minimal field restrictions in test matches thus making it harder to go the tonk
3. Bowlers donít have their hands tied behind their backs in test cricket with Limitations around where they have to pitch the ball
Thereís a few other reasons Shaunie but I suggest we stop there

And Khawaja scored 11 more runs for the series but batted on more innings.

Still.  No heat on him.

Shhhhh.

Watson has blossomed since he and Wily emerged from the same closet.

It must be a relief for them both.

Particularly for Watson.  Wily's batting for the same team was never a secret.

The Sri Lankans have really struggled for the past 12 -15 months so this series should have been a walkover based on form. They have never won a test match in Australia too.

I hope the Aussies can play better but blaming the absence of Smith and Warner is hard to swallow based on other deficiencies.

The 3 batsmen picked in the Aussie squad have all failed in the warm up game. Hopefully it is an aberration as we need all the batsmen to succeed.
