One of my golfing mates sent me this email a new style of putter S7K a mallet style graphite shaft mid size grip ...it stands upright behind the ball very long winded commercial cut to the cost $129USD about $181AUD plus GST and freight worth a look if you believe the spiel.

What a load of rubbish - having said that a friend of mine might love the putter because he lines up the putter head and then stands behind it to check the direction before taking his final stance. Another friend who has a had several strokes (of the medical kind) has one of the best putting strokes I have seen from a hacker - just so smooth through the swing.

Golf Digest recounts some of the late Dan Jenkins stories on some of the great golf matches he witnessed during his long career......in the Jack Nicklaus v Bobby Jones match he wrote” Jack conceded the 16th after he inadvertently caused his ball to move in the rough while picking away a leaf just behind it. No one else saw it happen. “That was sporting of you, Jack,” Jones said on the way to the 17th tee. Replied Jack: “Bob, it’s like you said—you might as well praise a man for not robbing a bank.”

Mmm, not sure about that but he was certainly given a leg up by the others today.

He was very smart with his shot selection on the back nine
