The only way to win would be to bet on heads after 3-4 tails in a row, or vise versa.
That's when 1.90 would become value.  :slaphead:

Been 45 minutes and DD hasn't replied to this one

I was thinking: there's a nice little earner for the skippers and the overseer.

Last match, Ponting was going to bat, Yousuf was going to bowl, there was quid to be make for sure.

Not sure where the 'quid' can be made here, JWH.

Re Storm stuff

I've been asked "What about this bet, what about that bet?"

My reply.

Ask someone who cares.

This time it will probably not be needed to stop the Bunnies collecting another spoon.

League players suspected of giving penalties away in games on which there's an
unusual volume of business on an exotic bet type.

Cricketers suspected of bowling no-balls  in games etc etc

Brothers and Sisters.........We reap what we sow.

In today's paper was a story of a woman who opened a account with Betchoice(I think it was) and immediately wanted whatever they could handle on the Cowboys kicking a penalty goal

I wonder why they thought there was something fishy going on?

Agree JWH, but it's been happening since Jesus was a boy. Outlawing it would only escalate what has happened, and the sub continent a perfect example where unlicensed bookmakers drive the corruption. Gambling is always going to happen, if somehow it is licensed and harnessed then maybe we get far less of the corrupt or rigged influence.

Gambling's always gunna happen. Betting on a team to win that is.

The thing I'm talking about is this spread betting with the ease of rorting associated with it.

So true.

Reports are saying that a consistent player in the Pakistan cricket team earns about 50-60k. Your wage can increase as your career develops, of course, but they don't get much.

Compare this with the 14k you can earn by simply bowling a no ball at an organised time.

Not difficult to see where this rorting stems.

Throwing the SCG test could have made specific players 3 to 4 times their yearly income.

I think my first bet on the RL was at Lang Park and Norm Pope was playing for Valleys and Clive Churchill was full back for Norths.  Umbrella Harry was the bookie who would set up in the outer and bet of any aspect of the game.

Maybe some other older Brisbane blokes could remember that.
