I don't pretend to know anything about this and don't follow any one team  but made a profit last year by just using the tipsters as a guide.

Bet small and bet often for max entertainment is my go so I put $85 aside to have $5 on each round

With a lot of focus on NFL last year, I tried to take an interest in the NFL season but most of it revolved around Hayne.
As other seasons, the only full game I watched was the Superbowl. Big Day over in the US with the entertainment etc.

The actual normal season games hold little interest to me & I wonder how many Aussies would follow it?

I am still interested in seeing how San Fran go this year with a new coach and their draft picks.

Also love Pittsburg Steelers and big Ben, one hell of a quarter back when healthy imo

I'm sure it'll be on the Fox Sports News how the NFL is going in general. I'm wondering if people actually watch the games as US sports (also Basketball) get huge coverage thru Fox Sports News.

There seems to be a fair bit of interest around our club but I don't think any of us know the finer points

I believe they'll be close to the worst team in the NFL again this year. They've looked awful so far in preseason.

The mighty Raiders are starting well. Played a few weak teams but atleast they are no one of those this year :clap2: :clap2:

Green Bay getting up today in one of the greatest playoff games I've seen.

As good as Brady is I still think Rodgers is the best of the current QB's. He just manages to throw some passes I just don't see any other QB's do and does them fairly regularly.

Maybe the best QB ever when scrambling.

Anyway what great matchups next week.

3 HOF bound QB's and the team no one has stopped from attacking all year in Atlanta.

Cant wait for next week and no matter the outcome it will be a truly intriguing Superbowl matchup.

No spoilers please - I'm taping it so I can fast forward through the interminable repeated self promotion ads and Lady Gaga.

So you're avoiding any media including Internet which may spoil your experience.

Wouldn't it be easier for you to avoid this site as well!

OK. I've watched it now. You can spoil away

(Apologies. Next time I say this just ignore it - I wasn't that serious - just didn't want someone to open a new thread saying "Pats beat Falcons in Great Game").

What a game!!! They are saying the best SB in history - the 2015 one was pretty good as well (Pats beat Seahawks who stuffed up a sitter 1m out).

Have no idea how the Falcons lost that one. Was it a choke?

Yes it was a choke with inexplicable play calling and a brain fade by Ryan to get sacked.

However that does not take away from Brady's performance GOAT.

New season under way.

Qld TAB offering money back (real $ to $50) if your team leads at a break and gets beat.

NSW TAB offering same deal but as a bonus.

Both TAB's have restrictions on certain States.

FYI .. 29.2% of the games last year were won by a team that trailed at a previous break.  8-)

Just collected a BB on Chicago (at least as they are up at QT, at best the bet wins @ $3.60)

Earlier collected outright wins on Tampa Bay and the Browns. Lost on Bills and Texans with no BB. Jets to come.

Backed every H2H where team was over $2.70 under the promotion conditions.

Gotta love the early rounds for upsets.

Bears looking a different outfit altogether with the new QB and their #1 draft pick both playing well.

...and out goes Aaron Rodgers on a stretcher cab before half time. Gonna be a long season for the cheeseheads unless the sub QB is any good.

And an Aussie grabbing the headlines again this year.

I'm guessing this bloke will last a little longer.

The hype on him is incredible I've read a couple of things on him saying he's a Hall Of Fame certainty, the greatest punter of all time and will fundamentally change the way the game is played...... and the guy played his first regular season game today (and was totally outstanding).

How good is he.

He is a local boy from the Sutherland Shire (went to Kirrawee High) and playerd AFL but failed to be promoted from the Swans reserves.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Dickson_(American_football)

Went over to the US where he played for Texas University and was selected in the All American team twice and got the MVP for the Texas Bowl - pretty much unheard of a kicker getting the MVP.

Has been going gangbusters this season with the Americans falling over themselves with his drop kicks - he can kick a field goal from 60 metres.

Michael Dickson is at it again .... this time instead of faking the kick and running around and taking a safety he decides to run for a first down ....... be interested to know what was said later behind closed doors.
