You’ve made your hatred clear but another thread about the same bloke and same topic
I have been critical of Smith's captaincy of the test side, due to his relative inexperience when he was captain and several of his actions since that appointment, to define that as"hatred" is over the top
Even in this episode in South Africa his use of the words "Leadership Group" were naive at best, which has created deep and long-lasting wounds in the playing group, long-term friendships are being smashed. One cannot help but wonder just how witless Smith must be to casually admit to cheating at a press conference. It seems he had no idea of the gravity of what he was admitting to.Even at that press conference Smith claimed they had a bit of yellow tape on which Bancroft supposedly picked up some soil granules from the pitch and stuck them on the tape prior to rubbing the tape on the ball, only problem it was proven to be sandpaper, that is outright lying. He has shit in his own nest.
If it is correct that Warner instigated the ball tampering, a more mature Smith would have told him where to go rather than go along with Warner's hair-brain scheme.
Even a child of ten knows "a group" implies more than two people and by using that word Smith, although it most likely meant his vice-captain ( Warner ) was involved, so were others. That has now been proven to be incorrect.
BTW were Simon & Garfunkel a group ?
