What a low move buying a NZ big hitter to play against Victoria in the 20/20 final ............

Then again, it is NSW so nothing surprises ......

The winner gets a champions league spot - so I'm sure whoever holds the purse strings cares quite a lot actually.

Definitely crook, although most other sports have limits on who can play in finals - must have played at least X number of regular season games etc. not sure why similar laws aren't included here, I guess no one had cared until now ;)

as usual VIC's howling at the moon over big bad NSW.

He was signed now because he was only going to sign with them if NSW qualified for the champions league.

When did they achieve that?  ;)

McCullum guarantees himself a spot in the tourney no matter which team he qualifies with.

Win/Win for both.

And BT both are in the Champions league not just the winner which is why McCullum signed for NSW. They don't need to win it.

usual reaction from those with no idea.

Both teams that make the final make the Champions League.

People should react adversley to cheating ........

You can't win one fairly so you have to try to buy a win ........

As usual though, this will come back and bite the cheats on the bum ...... no doubt.

I wouldnt call it cheating cause your allowed to do it and its not breaking any rules.

Its not in the spirit of the game though.

If Vic had have beaten NSW last week and been first into the final, he would have signed with Vic.

I wonder if a simlar thread would have existed had that been the case. Of course not

Some current Aussie players reckon it's cheating too ........

and "not in the spirit of the game" means they are doing something wrong doesn't it ........ something that someone with morals and ethics would not do ......

You don't reckon ?

You fruit loops (non Victorians) complain about anything Victorian given half a chance ..... just look at the jockeys that get knocked on this forum as an example .....

Shame NSW, Shame !

It wasn't Greg Chappel that came up with the idea of the under-arm delivery, it was the Victorian crowd at the MCG that put it in his head

Victoria has not signed any international cricketers for the 20/20 game. NSW has paid big bucks for a Kiwi to represent them ......

Who has done the dirty ?

Not Victoria ...... we have nothing to be ashamed of .......

You guys on the otherhand are aligning yourselves with a KIWI ...... how un Australian of you but that wouldn't matter to accomplished cheats .......

they tried but were laughed at by Flintoff. appropriate.

the upside of failing to do the dirty apparently is an afterglow of hypocrisy.  ;)

So anyone that calls it what it is has something wrong with them according to you ......

Again you can't or won't admit who has done the cheating ....... you are from NSW so cheating is just second nature to you as is knocking anyone that points it out .......

The truth yet again hurts you so you look to easing your shame by accusing others of being drunk etc .......

Shame NSW, SHAME !!

btw ... you will lose the game anyway ..... as cheats deserve to lose ....

Just went through the Vic's squad ....... there's only 4 non Victorians in there

Actually what will be a strange twist, when both teams get to the Champions League, any of there players 'contracted' to IPL franchises will play with those sides if they are involved instead of with their state. I heard Dave Gilbert from NSW cricket on the radio the other day explain why but I didn't really listen  :shy:

So you could have say Brett Lee etc playing against his NSW team mates
