The domination of Melbourne Storm has certainly taken the wind out of this topic on this forum, especially those Sin City supporters.
Very little interest, obviously reflected by the fact that free tickets were handed out to attend the NRL Grand Final, whilst at the AFL Grand Final good seats cost $3000+
No excuse because Storm & NQ played off, when Sydney Swans played off against West Coast in 2005 & 2006 they still got 91,000+ & 97,000+ to each of those Grand Finals, with no freebies.

Great win by a wonderful side.

Not sure how many born and bred Vics in this side but hopefully more will see the light.

Much the same with a lot of NRL teams, not many locals, that are made up of a lot of Pacific Islanders and also AFL teams who come from all quarters of Australia. Both are NATIONAL sports.
Given that Melbourne is an AFL city it is difficult for NRL to get a foot in the door, however those players who come from interstate  quickly blend into the culture of Melbourne Storm and not only become better players but better people away from NRL hype north of the Murray River......Bellamy   emthup   emthup .

Better people?

They're theiveing cheats. That's how they've got where they are.
Not to mention the high quality of the likes of Bromwich, proctor and Blair :chin:

I luv it when people talk of their professional club being the benchmark

WOD, sour grapes

  Nothing like a slice of ignorance while on the band wagon eh?

They built the roster on two sets of books - fact.  That side contained Smith, Slater & Cronk & until those 3 are gone, they will be forever tainted.

The double standards applied to the Storm in the NRL's desperation to see them succeed is mind blowing.

One of the blokes on the bench in the 2009 GF was none other than Ryan Tandy*

I guess the Storm failed on that one Wily

* Bubba now desperately trying to find out who Ryan Tandy and what he did

Ryan Tandy played in the National Rugby League for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers, Melbourne Storm and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Gintara, he played for few teams ,so are they all equally tainted like Storm.?????

You want to know why Uncle Wayne had to create a big headline in the last few days.

Was trying to defer some press from the broncos signing Matt Lodge.  ;)

People who think there is something wrong with two refs should be forced to watch a 1960s game - the full length - with someone like Keith Page in charge.
