The clubs big 4....a laughable term in reality, demanded Taylor go. Todd Paytern or Cleary was their ultimatum.
Sadly the club folded to wood ducks like Moses & Brooks and the draught horse Woods.

Tedesco the only one that you would feed, especially given their asking prices :bulb:

Geezus mate Gordon Tallis must read this forum because that is exactly what he said on Matty Johns show last night.

There is a lot of pressure on those 4 to perform this weekend given what has happened.

Gordies clearly an astute man

The way I see it, only the Knights have a worst halves pairing. They've not worth any more than  250k a season

Two things from last night.

Cody Walker is about 3-4 levels above all others in that souths team week in week out. Absoulute Gun. Cannot believe he is not talked about more.

Souths management must be counting the days until they can get rid of the certain Burgess brothers who have feet for hands.

So who is the next coach under fire?

Hasler, Barrett and McGregor look safe for the next few weeks at least.

Will they give Kearney more time though?

I think some of his players are not putting in for the 80mins similar to the normal story of their club over the ages.

When we looked at the draw, my mates and myself thought that warriors had a very favourable first few weeks and they would be within the top 4. They were very lucky to beat the knights in the first week.

Today is a must win for 3 of the 4 clubs playing today regarding top 8 prospects.

He can't coach, was woeful at the Eels with little imagination.

Knights were unlucky tonight.

There is a ray of sunshine. Hopefully it will get larger as the season goes.

Another class player or two next year and top 8 beckons.

The media were all praising Anthony Griffin for his decision for dropping Matty Moylan for turning up to training with a hangover and suspending him for tonight's game.

Let's if the very same media stay true after their 1 point loss. I have a feeling that they will prove to be "fickle friends"

Sorry Poison , the media were spot on .What happens next week if 10 little panthers turn up with hangovers ? Does he keep letting them play or does he  establish some reasonable standards at the Footy Club ? I applaud his stance. Long term for the Club and the player he made the right move.

Mate I am not making a judgement on whether the media were right or wrong.

Just wondering if they will "maintain the rage" or whether the journos will sense an opportunity to make a story of "Coach Bad Decision" - let's see shall we?

Point taken Poison. However lets not fall into the trap of letting Rupert's or his cronies be the barometer of acceptable behavior in our Society.

Sorry I reckon it's a terrible decision  emthdown The only one's being hurt are the fans.

Fine the life out of them and make them do extra training / picking up the drink bottles / cleaning the toilets or whatever punishment you come up with to prove your point that breaking curfew will hurt your hip pocket and you'll cop it on the training paddock before everyone else etc then have to do something around the club that everyone sees.

I can understand that a suspension can penalize a jockey as it deprives him of earning capacity but how does a suspension penalize a footballer.
The fine is the financial penalty but the suspension, on top of the fine, means all they additionally cop is a day off work. Or would the contract include a financial penalty for missing games (having days off work)?

Did anyone see whether Badger send up that last Widdop try as a "try" or "no try"?

Until the first try was scored I thought it was North Queensland, due to have the mute button on.

Christ Kevin Walters is a terrible commentator.
