They are both abbreviations but with a difference

"Aussie" is in a way an affectionate term.

"Jap" is a derogatory term.

And our imbecile who prides himself on never researching anything himself blunders in spades again.

Jap is regarded as an ethnic slur.

Both Serb and Croat are the correct term for those people - and not nicknames.

They are simply shortened versions of the whole name.  Like, I don't know  .....   Jap.

What about Malays or Scots?

You cannot refrain from highlighting your shortcomings.

Both Serbs and Croats are the whole names!

I am truly astounded that a cretin like you knows something about punctuation ( Look the word up if you don't know what it means )
Any update on your English language classes ? Or  are you just resigned to ignorance and a foul mouth?

Coming from a dikhead that doesn't know the difference between its and it's.  You go look it up.

I'm astounded you can type although I'm betting it's done with one finger and you mouth every word.

There is no difference in meaning between offence and offense. They're exactly the same in all their definitions. The difference is that offense is the preferred spelling in American English, while offence is preferred in British, Indian, Canadian, and Australian English.

Rather than defending the punctuation policeman perp who flunked Australian English, wouldn't humanity be better served by chastising the very same perp for his persistent use of racist slurs!

I am not defending anybody, I am merely clarifying the spelling of a particular word .

You could have fooled me.

And it's interesting to see where your priorities lie.

I'm against censorship, but when it comes to dealing with the scumbag in question, seems to me  encouraging, defending or otherwise supporting him through his incessant offences is not a way to raise the quality of this waning joint.
