Yep, was really a catch that should be taken at all times, the fact that it was near the ropes and he had to chuck it back infield, made it look better than it was

Thats exactly what makes it so good.

it wasn't just a matter of sticking his hand out and hoping it sticks.

He did that then had to improvise because of the boundary........and then pulled it off

I think it's a stupid rule that you have to essentially stay on your feet anyway - any other part of the ground he could have thrown in up in the air when he did and not worry about having to catch it and it still would have been out. They should change the rule, as long as part of you is touching the ground inside the rope before you go over, that should be good enough - worst rule in cricket IMO.

Looked pretty spectacular but I'm sure 90% of park cricketers would have done the same thing. J.P Duminy's catch earlier in the summer when he was running back was much better.

Before you post all that code you entered, you need to click on the youtube button (above all the smilies) - make sure that code is between the {youtube][/youtube}tags

Totally agree chalky, you need a special type of instinct to take a catch like that. Best of the summer for mine.

Still haven't seen one that beats John Dyson's effort at the SCG back in the 80's. That was the classic of all classics  :noteworthy:

Michael Dighton in that 20/20 at the Gabba earlier in the season.
