It is my belief that guenuine top flight finishing speed is diminished by either a lot of hard training or lots of and hard racing. But than only 1 in a thousand horses has top class finishing speed.
If you over race a horse or over train them, you will in my opinion dull their finishing speed.
This is however unquantifiable, it maybe that the siad horse is just plain slow.
No doubt in my mind this is true.
Horses trained or raced hard will run over further distance but not have the same speed - no surprise there!
The key is knowing the horse you are dealing with and which method it is best suited to.
Time and again you will see sprinters trained and placed like middle distance horses/stayers and underperform and vice versa.
If Bindi picks /has the right horses in her stable what she does will work as has been proven.
