Australian David Hall continued his rich vein of form when he took training honours at Sha Tin with a winning treble.
Hall, who was based in Victoria where he prepared Makybe Diva to win the first of her Melbourne Cups before relocating to Hong Kong, has produced seven winners from 33 runners in recent weeks.
His weekend haul came courtesy of My Goal, ridden by Howard Cheng Yue-tin, My Blaze (Zac Purton) and Legend (James Winks).
Riding honours on the program went to Weichong Marwing who also celebrated a winning treble aboard So Pretty So Smart, Super Gentleman and Chater Way.
The timing was poignant for the jockey as it came just four days after the death of trainer Ivan Allan who lost a long battle with illness.
Marwing rode for Allan between 2001 and 2004 partnering the likes of top galloper Fairy King Prawn and Hong Kong Mile winner Olympic Express.
"We made a great team, Ivan and I, we won some of the biggest races, had some great times and he was one of the best - he'll be sadly missed. My heart goes out to his family," Marwing said in the South China Morning Post.
