Crikey $1500 fine for using a chest rub like VICKS on the nostrils ....one trainer I was friendly with in harness racing always rubbed a little vicks up the nostrils and after racing and  hosing it down he sprayed some metho on the horse to cool it down.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez I used to hate it when my Mum or Dad wiped vicks under my nose. They rubbed it on our chest and quickly rub the remnants under our noses

Often used as a reminder for the horse before he races that he has to try.
Used on gallop mornings with the combination of a gigger
