I would think there are plenty who would point to the lack of success that they enjoyed under the two predecessors as a reason for a change.
Moody would be an excellent fit. And to make it a fresh renewal maybe try and entice Luke Nolen to come up to Sydney ro be the #1 jockey
How did you come to that conclusion?
Snowden was the only Godolphin trainer before O'Shea. Hawkes already left. Snowden trained quite a few G1 winners and kept losing his group winners o/s too.
O'shea got presented with Hartnell and Contributer too while from memory Snowden never got that luxury.
O'Shea also had a benefit from memory to help with some insurance or underselling issue so Godolphin does have some form in giving people 2nd chances.
O'shea is a good trainer and with a bit of luck could had quite a few G1 winners as he had some good placings this seasin with Exosphere letting him down and many others too. After his Golden Rose win, I thought this horse could be unbeaten at the end of the season but racing is funny like that.
