Heathcote was on hand to give his support to the Winter racing incentive scheme at the announcement last Wed.

One wonders whether Robbie will have a change of heart should a sponsored raider knock of WOORIM, or TOMBOY, or BUFFERING, or  ..  in the Stradbroke. :unsu

I did hear of a couple of complaints yesterday

What about the locals?

Well if they're good enough then they will get in.

Congratulations to Qld's premier trainer for his initial Group 1 win with the luckless WOORIM in yesterday's Oakleigh Plate.

Rob handled the media attention with aplomb.  Seems he hasn't yet stopped smiling.  Maybe he had a bet.  :chin:

Heathcote is under seige from the powerful Patinack Farm team, glancing through Saturday's nominations.

Lady Luck has not been his friend in recent weeks.  Will he win the premiership?

One thing he's not short on: optimism.

Nash is one of Heathcote's Melb riders.  Was probably booked a while back.

Byrne was a stand-in last week for an absent Browne.

Also, Browne probably committed to WOORIM for the Carnival.

Nash goes alright, does he not?

The leading trainer is back from his overseas jaunt.

Some detailed coverage in his blog on horseracingonly.com.au

The accompanying photo suggests he might need to get back on his bike - and quick.

I hope he's knows his Australian jockeys better than he knows his UK jockeys.

Richard Fahey is a trainer. He trained the winner of the July Cup.

Paul Hanagan is a jockey. He has been the leading rider in the UK for the past 2 seasons.

He rode the winner of the July Cup.

He is Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum's retained rider, but has only been in that role for a few months (since the retirement of Richard Hills on DWC night).

I quite like Rob's style of writing......he's  a very good communicator...although he doesn't have any formal qualifications as a journo as far as I know..but that won't stop him winning ....and he'll join some distinguished company if he does get the gong...Phil Purser the inaugural winner was one who continues to inform entertain and arouse on a daily basis.

Rob's not happy, and quite right too based on his experience, about the poor facilities and catering for the trainers and strappers......at the Gold Coast on MM day......"The millions aren't all Magic"

http://horseracingonly.com.au/racing-article.aspx?id=1796

Seeing that he made the same complaint last year it's not surprising that he is somewhat disgruntled at having seen no improvements.

Ascot may be listening .......but is he a Cando kind of guy?

With 11 months to go there's a decent time frame to make sure it's fixed before next year's MM.
