Wily I am not sure you want to know!

No one got it - not even the z man.

So assuming you got it for 50c doubling the jackpot means a dividend declaration $202,798.

Every time you missed the last spot but got the first 5 spots returned you $14,429.40 for 100% of that div

ps Moonee Valley last night paid 90g with the 2 favs wining the last 2 races....

Hmmm,

Plenty of arguments for Brazen to show a bit more - easy arguments being Collett booking who had 3 prior rides on the horse for 2 wins and 2 out of 5 wins 2nd up so obviously people did not have the the horse in their focus at all. Nothing wrong with prior ratings either.

Geez PP, no mention of my best 3
Thats the sort of good race it is.
Best of Days, D'argento or even Moss n Dale for me at the odds
I suspect best of days is massively underrated even by his own stable

I thought after Yogi won the first we had a track that would be fair to backmarkers.

Every winner since has either led around the turn or been close to the lead

PP7,

Manuel was in worst at the weights on your table of the handicappers score by a very big margin of -8.5........

Have you thrown the handicap book out as it was a very good win.

Of course a fitter Kementari would have ran straight past him but that's too late for the day.

Best of Days was the run of the race. Especially given the Williams factor

My metrics are taken from the handicapper's benchmark rating not my own so I cannot throw anything out :)

Just something I like measuring i.e. what weight would they carry if it was a benchmark handicap and how much better/worse off are they because it is WFA.

The way they calculate the handicaps in a BM race using the BM rating is available on the Racing NSW web site.

The horse had a low benchmark rating because his best city effort prior to his Group 1 win was a 2nd place in a  Benchmark 96 race. And that is probably why he was such big odds.

No Redzel or Redkirk Warrior?

6 of the 11 runners haven't got a BM 100 rating.

Good on them for having a shot with the 2YO   emthup

Maybe stayed in the gates?  :chin: All clear has been given

Once again the Melbourne stewards come up with a clanger  emthdown

Malibu Style wins races seven but replays show the gate had opened early. Seems stewards had decided because the horse missed the jump it's ok  :o What happens if it had jumped with the field? jumps early?

Simple fact is gate opened early - it should be declared a non runner.

What happened after the gates opening should bare no effect on the decision and is irrelevant.

Shocking decision IMHO   emthdown

The Bagot Hcp is a great race and was first run in 1884 - won by Archie that year (he also won an Ascot Vale and an AJC All Aged Stakes showing his diversity over distance).

Won by the 1961 Cup winner Lord Fury in 1963.

Don't think the 1926 winner Master Vibrator would have raced under that name in modern times.

Thought the Chris Waller trained #7 Naval Warfare was worth a place bet at the $4.40 fixed.

With racing these days not looking quite so glamorous this really will be the future of sponsorship.
The big beneficiaries of the industry will be required to keep propping it up.

The other races on the card were sponsored by a racehorse syndicator, a big screen co., The MRC and a funeral director.
While the funeral director might look the odd one out, maybe there is a connection between a very bad day on the punt and death. :what:

I did wonder who would stump up $500k for the Interdominion final for an industry that has carried the well earned title 'the red hots' for years.
IRT are international horse transporters.

Does that mean one day we will have The Meramist Melbourne cup or 'Fitzgeral Pastoral Co. AKA Burn's Pet Foods will become slot holders in The Everest?

Maybe not in my lifetime but I am getting on.
