Burdekin Blues was only nommed for this race so it could have a "practise run" at caulfield...next start will be the Newmarket.

I think they are having a re-think, they realise this is infinitely easier than the Newmarket.

Yes I just read the story on Racing and Sports site.

Still a classy field if he does run in this...no easy task.

Very interesting barrier draw with speedsters Lucky Secret, Typhoon Zed and Swiss Ace all drawing in the car park.
Red Element got to the line strongly to win last start and is drawn well to sit off the pace.
Morgan Dollar a smokey.

(Thanks Westie).

Yeah, going to take a while to work out the speed map for this.  Probably a case of an interest bet on a roughie and move along.

Anyone have an opinion of Scenic Blast? He looked good last start and has drawn well.

 :tears:

Wish Chasm and Wilander could swap barriers. Can see Chasm settling back and charging home over the top of them late, and would prefer Wilander to use his light weight to sit up on the pace and give them something to catch. Don't know if either of them can do that from those gates.

Thought Scenic Blast looked terrific parading for the Lightning compared to his first up run.  Just wonder how much improvement is left...harder here at the weights too.

Interesting on Wilander.  I backed him in the Lightning and thought he was entitled to do a little more - just hang on for a bit longer.   Perhaps some decent improvement to come!
