Horse looked like it may have rolled over her too, certainly looked bad.

Seemed to be traveling well too.

O'Hara to remain in hospital after fall

Jockey Kathy O'Hara will remain in hospital for the next few days while blood and air is drained from her punctured lung.

O'Hara expects to be riding within weeks despite being injured after falling from Single Gaze on the home turn in Saturday's Australian Oaks.

"Just wanted to let people know I will most likely be in hospital for a few days. Got a bit of blood and air on my lungs with a drain in," O'Hara tweeted on Monday.

"Thank you for the well wishes."

O'Hara has been cleared of serious breaks and has a small fracture of the collarbone which is unlikely to require surgery.

She said she would follow up with Racing NSW doctor David Duckworth about her injured right shoulder after she leaves hospital.

Single Gaze, the Vinery Stud Stakes winner, escaped with minor lacerations.

An inquiry into the incident has been delayed until O'Hara is able to attend.

Kathy O'Hara out for up to three months

AAP - 15 Apr 2016

Jockey Kathy O'Hara will be sidelined for up to three months as she recovers from an injury suffered in a fall at Randwick.

O'Hara underwent surgery on Thursday night on her sternoclavicular joint after originally hoping to leave hospital earlier in the week.

Racing NSW doctor David Duckworth, who performed the operation, said he had to reduce and reconstruct the joint dislocation.

He said O'Hara would be in a sling for four weeks and out of racing for between eight to 12 weeks.

O'Hara came off Single Gaze at the home turn in last Saturday's Australian Oaks.

The filly fell on top of the rider with stewards saying O'Hara's safety vest could well have saved her life.

Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into the fall.

Extracts from Racenet  Richie Callander reports that Kathy is a bride in waiting, having had to reschedule her June wedding to Chris Waller’s right-hand man Charlie Duckworth because of the Covid outbreak.

I complimented Duckworth on TV recently for some new gear and a flashier appearance. Perhaps that is the O’Hara influence.
O’Hara is having a top season with 68 wins, 21 of them on city tracks

Good Luck to Kathy &Charlie hope they have a long and happy life together.
