Rumour at the races on saturday were that he has been let go for some financial indiscretions.
Whether that is right or not i am not sure but that was the talk.

Just in case anyone's wondering - or worried - about the source, it's the NSW Government's Local Court listing website.

Either Fuller is a very common name or the Fuller family are going through a very challenging time at the moment.
I note from the NSW local court list that there are about 14 different Fullers scheduled to appear before 12 different local courts in NSW in relation to about 20 criminal matters over the next 2 weeks. And thats just the ones listed for mention.
Not suggesting they are related to Rod.  Just share a common name. I was surprised there would be so many.

So what's the story?

If these are criminal charges why has there been no press?

No, its not but being in the public eye is apart of the deal, unfortunately. Most in the know know what has happened anyway.
Those who don't will find out after Tuesday.

Mostly admin affair on Tuesday perhaps. The Wed papers may have something but can't help other than that.

I have been told it is in relation to tax fraud

no idea if thats true but if it is not sure why there is no reporting on this from the racing media

if it was a high profile jockey or trainer it would be everywhere

Big Richie Callander has just tweeted that Fuller copped a 6 year prison sentence, with a 3 year non parole period.

Remember when John Farnham's manager Glenn Wheatley went to jail for tax fraud ?

In 2007, he was found guilty of channeling more than $650,00 through tax fraud schemes.  Wheatley was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

So Fuller had a lesser amount of money involved, yet got almost triple  the sentence ? And i thought a first time offender only does 33% of the sentence, 3 years non parole is HALF the sentence

When he quit the forum some of us were stunned that something so trivial would cause so much angst.

Clearly this explains where his mind was at.

I hope he comes through it fine.

Did not he cheat the tax over a twenty year period ? Not a one off tax fraud. Court must have considered it was systematic over those years.

Seems he might be back in harness - at least to an extent.

Done his time. Good luck on future choices.
