Hey that's a pretty neat trick whereby Fifita can score on the third tackle - his personal third tackle after being grounded twice.

Has V'Landys brought in a new rule or something? Very entertaining   emthup

After watching the round games on the weekend, quite impressed by the kid Walker from the Roosters. Got a good head on his shoulders. It will be interesting to see what the Roosters do with Lam supposed to be back soon and Hutchison holding his own. Add to that mix Sualli, it will be an interesting conundrum for Robinson even with Keary gone for the year.

The Broncos are a basket case with losing Dearden to Cowboys next year, then Reece Macintosh to Warriors this year. On top of that, they had a chance to sign Walker but went for Dearden. 3 of their players who left for other clubs have done well  with their new clubs ie Fifita, McCullough and Ofengahue.

Wonder what will happen with this. Consensual act and illegally filmed however is this act illegal in a public environment. Have no ideas these days as what is considered offensive depends on the judge.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9497551/NRL-gender-advisor-says-spoken-footy-boss-Peter-Vlandys-got-job.html

I read in that Daily Mail  story that the woman involved was topless during the act. Does that mean although she was topless she may have not been pantiless ? :shy:

Jack de Belin remains stood down pending decision from DPP over potential third trial

Jack de Belin remains subject to the NRL's no-fault stand down policy, despite the St George Illawarra forward being cleared of one count of sexually assaulting a woman.

The jury in de Belin's trial was unable to reach a verdict on five other charges, and has been discharged after deliberating for more than five days.

The former Origin forward will now need to wait for the Department of Public Prosecutions to decide whether or not to proceed with a third trial.

Nine's court reporter Kelly Fedor says the DPP is likely to confirm later this month whether or not it will pursue a third trial.

As de Belin is yet to be cleared of the remaining five charges, he's still stood down under the NRL's policy.

"As de Belin is yet to be cleared of the remaining five charges..."

So what does that mean? He is guilty until he proves himself innocent of the other 5 charges?

What a joke our criminal justice system has become.

The woke left refused to accept the verdict in Pell when it went to the High Court. The worst false imprisonment since Lindy Chamberlain.

They won a dubious decision in Jarrod Hayne (she said v he said - she won), yet when Shorten (she said v he said - he won) wins they remain mute.

They tried to have Christian Porter brought down on extremely dubious evidence.

Now de Belin has to prove his innocence twice!!

No doubt about the woke femi-nazis. They are having a great time of it recently - except for Porter where the ABC lawyers have ordered Milligan to shut her big mouth.

So PP if you agree with court rulings and decisions, then you must agree with the US courts that there was no voter fraud?

Back on the NRL game itself, there was a couple of strange statistics that someone brought up over the weekend.

There has never been 3 teams in the top 8 with a negative points difference since top 8 started. I don’t have the time to authenticate it but I gather it is right as he is usually on the ball. St George are at +24, Titans at -1 and warriors at -27.

The top 5 sides have only lost to one side  outside the top 5 since the start of the year. That was the Eels losing to the dragons. All the losses for the top 5 team are playing each other.

There are more games this year so far with crowds below 10k this year (except for Covid19 last year) so far compared to previous years. Usually every year the bottom team crowds drop off after origin period ends and teams realise they can’t make finals but not this year.

I moved on from that the night of the election and accepted the result.

Unlike the Democrats who never accepted the 2016 election result and gave us 4 years of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Another characteristic of the woke left. Never accept an election result or court decision - whether it be George Pell, 2016 US Presidential, Brexit, whatever.

I agree but both sides do it. That is why voting for independents make more major parties accountable. However let’s debate this on another topic and discuss league only.

Back to NRL

How hard is it for parramatta’s backline to mark up man on man ?

Ffs manly was producing overlaps when parra had an extra man when manly were down to 12 men.

Who the hell is parra’s defensive coach ?

I will be on leg 5 this weekend of my epic version of the Magic round this year.

Leg 1: Roosters v Manly at SCG

Leg 2: Gold Coast v Knights at Robina

Leg 3: Warriors v Cowboys at Central Coast

Leg 4: Souths v Melbourne at ANZ

Leg 5: Penrith v Dogs at Penrith

Leg 6: Parramatta v Wests at Bankwest

Leg 7: St George v Raiders at Wollongong

Leg 8: Sharks v Broncos at Jubilee

It all started taking shape after we went to the Roosters and family went upto Qld for a break so we decided to watch Titans game. This is the first time in my entire life that I have ever watched every team live. Central Coast and Robina are nice compact stadiums.

Highlights so far was watching Teddy, Fifita tearing up my team, Walsh and RTS plus Addo Carr running riot. It has been a good road trip and hope we get to finish it.

Seems Jennings took coke whilst on Mad Monday celebrations when he was with the Roosters. Wonder if any other players were interested involved?

Qld must be hurting this morning.

The 3 full backs for NSW made a mess of the Queenslanders.

Yes PP ; that line of the "Mooses " was one of his all time greats. Thanks for reminding me of it. I wonder how Rex would have gotten on in Today's more sensitive environment. Would be fun to know !!
